Kabistoni

White grape of Adjara

Kabistoni

Kabistoni is a white grape of mountainous and coastal Adjara, adapted to a humid subtropical climate and to traditional training on high supports and trees.

It gives fresh whites with good acidity and soft floral-fruity aromatics; in qvevri, pale amber wines. It often enters local Adjaran blends.

Kabistoni is part of the reviving Adjaran wine scene, important for preserving the rare varieties of Georgia's far south-west.
