Shoti

Tone-baked bread

Shoti

Shoti is a traditional Georgian bread with an elongated shape and pointed ends, baked on the wall of a clay tone oven. The dough is slapped onto the hot clay and bakes in minutes.

The crust turns crisp and the crumb stays soft. Shoti accompanies any dish and often doubles as a base for cheese and herbs.
