Kubdari

Meat-filled bread, Svaneti

Kubdari is a Svan bread filled with chopped (not minced) meat seasoned with onion, garlic and mountain spices. The meat goes in as pieces, not as forcemeat.

Unlike khachapuri, the filling here is meat; it is one of the signature dishes of high-mountain Svaneti, sometimes called the 'Georgian meat pie'.
