Khikhvi

Aromatic white of Kakheti

Khikhvi

Khikhvi is a rare Kakhetian white grape with an unusually expressive aroma. Long on the verge of extinction, it is now revived and highly prized by lovers of qvevri wine.

In qvevri Khikhvi gives a golden-amber wine with notes of apricot, honey, dried fruit and floral nectar, while keeping its freshness. It is made both dry and naturally sweet.

In cooler years Khikhvi can yield especially fine, dessert-leaning wines.
