Gurjaani is a classic dry white from the Rkatsiteli–Mtsvane blend, from the eponymous district of Kakheti. It is one of the country's oldest official appellations.

Unlike the «pale» European Tsinandali, Gurjaani is traditionally made with partial skin contact, so the wine is a touch fuller, with light tannin and notes of meadow herbs, apple and dried fruit.

It is a kind of bridge between the European and the Kakhetian (qvevri) styles of white wine.
