Small natural-wine maker, Ana Berikashvili

Ana Berika Winery is a small family winery in the village of Velistsikhe, Kakheti, run by the young winemaker Ana Berikashvili. The wines are natural, made in qvevri by the Kakhetian method without industrial additives, from Georgian varieties: Rkatsiteli, Mtsvane, Saperavi and Kisi, as well as naturally sparkling Pét-Nat.
Following a farm-to-table philosophy, the estate serves traditional Georgian cuisine prepared with fresh, seasonal produce grown on the family's farm. Such small producers are the new wave of Georgian wine, in which women are increasingly visible.
The winery welcomes guests from around the world: wine tastings, traditional Georgian lunches, cooking and winemaking masterclasses, and the authentic rtveli (grape harvest) in season. Ana Berika Guesthouses offer comfortable stays, so visitors can enjoy the peaceful countryside and the traditions, lifestyle and warm hospitality of Kakheti.
