Family winery, Gvantsa, Giorgi and Baia Abuladze

Baia's Wine is a family-owned winery in Obcha, Imereti, run by three siblings: Gvantsa, Giorgi and Baia. They returned to their family's village and began making wine in 2015, inspired by their parents, their heritage and Georgia's ancient qvevri winemaking tradition.
They work with local Imeretian grape varieties and make low-intervention wines that express the character of their land: Tsitska, Tsolikouri and Krakhuna for the whites, Otskhanuri Sapere and Aladasturi for the reds.
As the family puts it, wine is not only about what is in the bottle. It is about family, tradition, hospitality and sharing their culture with people from around the world.
