Natural-wine maker, Keto Ninidze

Oda Family is a natural winery in the Megrelian town of Martvili, created in 2015 by Keto Ninidze and her husband Zaza Gagua after they left Tbilisi. The name comes from the «oda», the traditional west-Georgian wooden house the family lives in.
Keto is a winemaker as well as a writer and literary critic; in 2018 she was named Georgia's «Woman Farmer of the Year». She is reviving nearly extinct Megrelian grape varieties.
The wines rely on Ojaleshi, Dzelshavi, Tsolikouri and rare local varieties (Chvitiluri and others). Martvili is one of the centres of the winemaking revival in Samegrelo.
