Chicken in garlic-milk sauce

Shkmeruli is fried chicken finished in a sauce of abundant garlic and milk (sometimes with broth or sour cream). The dish comes from the Racha village of Shkmeri.

Its rich garlic sauce is the defining feature; shkmeruli is eaten hot, with bread dipped into the sauce.
