Sadari

Where Lentekhi eats in the evening

Lentekhi is the centre of Lower Svaneti, a quiet town on the Tskhenistskali where the road from Lechkhumi climbs into the mountains. The café Sadari stands on Stalin Street and serves as the place guesthouse owners send their guests for dinner.

The cooking is Georgian, of Lechkhumi and Svaneti: lobiani, cheese, meat over coals. There are few places in town, so in the evening both locals and travellers end up here.
