Dry white, Kakheti

Tsinandali is a classic dry white from the Rkatsiteli–Mtsvane blend, in the European (non-qvevri) style. It is named after the Chavchavadze estate in the village of Tsinandali, where in the 1830s Georgia's first European-type winery was founded.
The wine is fresh, with citrus-and-orchard aromatics, lively acidity and light oak ageing. It is the benchmark of «pale» Kakhetian white — the opposite of the rich amber qvevri wines.
For many abroad, Tsinandali is the introduction to Georgian white.
