Lomtadze Family Wine

Family winemaker, Tariel Lomtadze

Lomtadze Family Wine is the family winery of Tariel Lomtadze in the Rachan village of Khvanchkara, renewed in 2015. Khvanchkara is the home of one of Georgia's most famous wines.

The estate has about a hectare of vineyard in Khvanchkara itself, planted with local varieties: Aleksandrouli, Mujuretuli, Tsolikouri and Tsulukidzis Tetra. They make both classic and qvevri wines.

The flagship wine is the semi-sweet red Khvanchkara from Aleksandrouli and Mujuretuli. The winery also runs a guesthouse with views of the Racha mountains.
