Kvareli is a dry red from Saperavi grown in the Kvareli micro-zone on the left bank of the Alazani, at the foot of the Caucasus range. A protected designation of origin.

In style it is close to Mukuzani but with the terroir character of a cooler northern zone: a dense, tannic wine with notes of dark berries and good structure.

Kvareli is the same locality that supplies the semi-sweet Kindzmarauli, but here the reference is to the dry style.
