Kotekhi is a dry red from Saperavi, from the Kotekhi micro-zone in the Gurjaani district, on the right bank of the Alazani. A protected designation of origin.

It is one of the «south-bank» dry reds of Kakheti, alongside Mukuzani: the warm zone gives full-bodied, concentrated wines with firm tannin.

The appellation is less known to the wider public but is among Georgia's official designations of origin.
