The first table in Ozurgeti
Guria rarely makes it into itineraries, and that is a pity: tea plantations, Bakhmaro, the sea at Ureki and a cuisine of its own. In Ozurgeti, the regional capital, Pirosmani on David Guramishvili Street holds first place in the town's ratings.
The cooking is Georgian and Gurian, the portions generous by local measure: khinkali, ojakhuri, chvishtari with cheese. It works as a town restaurant where families come, not as a stop for tourists.
