A garden inside an old house on Uznadze

Ninia's Garden is the second place of Meriko Gubeladze, set in the yard of a restored Tbilisi house on Uznadze Street.
The restaurant is named after Ninia (Nikoloz) Zaridze, a Tbilisi merchant of the early twentieth century. He is said to have kept a garden near Vorontsov Square and to have let in, free of charge, lovers who had nowhere else to meet. That is how the city saying was born: «You think this is Ninia's garden?»
In spirit the cooking is close to Shavi Lomi, but the place itself is smaller and quieter. In summer the tables stand in the yard; in winter the guests move into the rooms of the old Tbilisi house.
