Rarest red of Lechkhumi

Usakhelouri is one of the rarest and most expensive Georgian varieties, grown on just a few dozen hectares in Lechkhumi. The name itself means «nameless»: by legend the wine was so fine that no name was worthy of it.
It gives a red semi-sweet wine of fine, aromatic, almost perfumed structure — raspberry, cherry and violet, with a graceful body. Yields are minuscule, hence its legendary status.
True Usakhelouri is a collector's rarity; most «Usakhelouri» on the market has nothing to do with the genuine wine.
