Twins Wine Cellar

Modern qvevri, qvevri museum, 2008

Twins Wine Cellar in Napareuli is a modern family winery specialising in traditional qvevri wines. It was founded in 2008 by the twin Gujabidze brothers (hence the name).

The estate has an open-air qvevri museum showing the layout of the cellar and the making and burying of qvevri: a rare example of an «educational» winery.

Twins is a characteristic representative of the 2000s wave that bet on authentic qvevri winemaking and wine tourism.
