Tsulukidzis Tetra

Rare white of Imereti

Tsulukidzis Tetra

Tsulukidzis Tetra («the white of Tsulukidze») is a rare white grape from the Chiatura area of Imereti, named after the Tsulukidze family. It was near extinction and is being revived by enthusiasts.

It gives an aromatic white wine with notes of citrus, white flowers and honey, usually with good acidity; it suits both dry and naturally sweet styles.

Like Usakhelouri among the reds, Tetra is an example of a «rescued» variety, prized for its rarity and local terroir.
