Modern, founded 1997
Teliani Valley is one of the first modern Georgian wineries, founded in 1997 in Telavi. Its name refers to the historic Teliani (Cabernet) appellation near the town.
The company became one of the leaders in the revival of quality Georgian wine after the collapse of the USSR, working with both European and native varieties and styles (including qvevri).
Teliani Valley is an example of the shift from Soviet mass production to a brand focused on quality and export.
