Battle of Didgori

On 12 August 1121 David IV crushes the Seljuk coalition, the «Didgori miracle».

On 12 August 1121, at Didgori near Tbilisi, David IV routed a vastly superior Seljuk coalition.

The victory, which Georgians call the «Didgori miracle», broke Seljuk dominance in the Caucasus.

A year later Tbilisi was liberated; Didgori became a symbol of Georgian military glory and national revival.
