Wood-fire grill and a tone oven in old Telavi

Doli is in the old part of Telavi, on Kakutsa Cholokashvili Street, inside the Communal hotel. The cooking is done over a wood fire, and the bread is baked in a tone oven on the spot.

The kitchen is Georgian, put together anew: grilled meat, vegetables (cauliflower, beetroot, beans, tomatoes with bread and Kakhetian oil), plenty for vegetarians, and a list of Kakhetian natural wines to go with it. Open from one in the afternoon to eleven at night. The bill runs higher than the regional average; book a table in advance.
